Tropical Storm Conson was producing 69 mph (111 kph) winds Monday. But the wind was forecast to pick up to 86 mph (139 kph), turning Conson into a typhoon. A typhoon of this size is similar to a Category 2 hurricane.

What I just read is the typhoon hit in Luzon, Manila of course was hit pretty hard but she`s from Leyte. Typhoons never seem to hit the south, just Manila.

my friend lives just outside Manila hope she is ok and you are right typhoons always hit there in ,or close to Manila, and it always gets hit hard!
