      I think the narcissus complex is at work. I have noticed the breeding practices of dissimilar animals such as german shepherd and collie for instance often defeat the genetic weaknes of each breed as a recessive trait and a healthier animal emerges. (get your dog from the pound)

      So much for the eugenics crowd.
