Female Mental Health Therapist Accused of Sex Abuse of Boys

Tressie Hayes, 34-year-old mental health therapist formerly at Prestera Center in Danville, West Virginia, is accused of drug and sex offenses involving teenage boys.

Hayes is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, child neglect, creating a substantial risk of bodily injury and two counts of sexual assault by a parent or custodian. She was allegedly using drugs and performing sexual activities with at least two of the boys at Prestera Center.

One of the victim's alleged that he was having sex with Hayes at her home on Camp Creek and also that she had “taken him on drug runs with her.” The young man said he had smoked marijuana with the defendant on several occasions as well as snorting ground up prescription painkillers with her at her home that she had reportedly applied. The victim also stated that he had sex with a teenage girl at the residence and Hayes was aware of it.
In a statement from another alleged victim, two alleged victims had ingested drugs with Hayes on several occasions. In addition, the statement noted that “on at least one occasion the two victims had been witnessed snorting a crushed pain pill on the desk at Prestera’s offices in Danville. Records indicate Hayes had been employed as a therapist for both the victims, as well as several other children. One juvenile stated that he had physically observed Hayes and one of the victims having sex, as well as Hayes’ daughter and her boyfriend.
