Melissa Jones, 50-year-old local woman from Montville Township, Ohio, has been accused of engaging in sex with and providing drugs to a 15-year-old boy.
Jones, of 6974 Wadsworth Road, allegedly started having sex with the boy when he was 15-years-old, and continued until after his 16th birthday. She offered a plea of not guilty to a myriad of felony and misdemeanor charges this morning during an arraignment proceeding in Medina County Common Pleas Court. Earlier this month juury indicted Jones on five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony, and one count of corrupting another with drugs, a fourth-degree felony. She also faces eight counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Judge Christopher J. Collier advised Jones to have no contact with the alleged victim at least through the time it takes for her criminal case to be adjudicated. The judge set Sept. 6 as a trial date for Jones. he remains free on a $50,000 bond, according to court records.
