Paris Ghetto Film Fest

pmayrhofer
Each year, French film director Luc Besson organizes an open air film festival in several Parisian suburbs, places which are generally considered no-go areas, where cars are set on fire and ambulances get attacked... Last year Luc Besson convinced directors at the Cannes Festival to send him a copy of their brand new movies to screen them in the suburbs. Tarantino, Brad Pitt and others agreed. The people from the suburbs were incredibly happy to have those movies screened for free on the same day as the premiere in Cannes.

Journalists covering this festival were not allowed to collect pictures of burning cars, but had to ask people about the newest cinema releases... the event was a surprisingly strong political stament comming from a commercial movie producer as well as a huge success with over 60.000 spectators.

This year, the festival is held again in a slightly modified version and it's supposed to be even bigger...VC2 producer Philip Mayrhoffer will talk to Luc Besson and spectators to cover the event.

    • What a waste! I just saw this the other night. and was quite surprised there weren't any news reports of white women being gang raped.
How can you call this 'culture' when it's nothing more than than collective noise? Where are the great negroid symphonies and operas? If they really ARE just like whites and just as intelligent, where are their great architects and historic sites of civilization like white society? Why can't they stop making everywhere they live a trashy, drug-filled ghetto, complete with rapes, murder, whores and disease?
If you took a white man from a trailor park and put him in a white neighborhood, he would live up to the neighborhood expectations while the negroid whould make it a ghetto toilet in less than 6 months, making all the whites move to safer neighborhoods.
No, we are NOT all the same and racial separation is the ONLY way to keep whites safe!

    • Nice work. It's great to see philanthropy's other face. Giving money is one thing...and it's great. Giving time, effort, and opportunity is another...awesome!

    • Excellent piece. The youth was right. No one is there to see people enjoying life and culture but as soon as a car is on fire five cameras arrive on the spot.

    • How could anybody vote this down, this is such a good and creative experience for all of the frustrated youths in those Parisian suburbs! Even if it only inspires one person, its worth it... I love Paris! Great video!
