Why hate furries?
This is not the case.
In fact most of us are actually quite decent, and reasonable people, who differ from others only in that we ourselves are fans of creatures that have some human traits.
If you are a fan of almost any disney movie then technically you are a member of the fandom whether you officially claim it or not.
Why is it that even when our fandom is in it's own way quite normal, and acceptable, still many people associate us only with the large pile of fursuiters seen in that one CSI episode, on the floor of some nasty club in the middle of some dark alleyway.
They portrayed us as something sick and twisted, when the truth is like frankensteins monster if you get to know us we are not such bad people at all.
If any of my fellow furs have something to add, or even if anyone else does, please speak your mind here and let me help disprove some of the nasty myth's about we furs.
I will remain myself vigilant in order to fight the good fight my furred friends.
Peace and love to you all, and may GOD be with you always

Amen sir!
It's just about the art, or, if you're a lifestyler, about furthering your connections with animals on a spiritual level. It is not about crazy dress-up sex orgies, so forth and so on. It's just easy for the media to zoom in on that because it's easy to sensationalize.
I see no reason to judge or hate, furries aren't hurting anyone by being furries. They're generally kind, accepting people. If they want to go up to a hotel room and do the nasty in an animal suit (which is not very physically feasible, mind you), then fine, more power to them, they're not hurting anyone or anything. But that's not what the fandom is about.
It's not some crazy cult. It's a subculture like any other - SciFi fans love science fiction, Anime fans love Anime, Furries love anthropomorphic art. So what. Get over it.
