HTC just announced the Sensation XE, a monster that gathers everything the company has to offer. The device features 4.3-inch qHD S-LCD display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, Beats Audio and the latest Android and Sense software.
The HTC Sensation XE is based on HTC Sensation’s Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset, but with a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. However, it offers the same 768MB RAM, Adreno 220 GPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and HTC Sense 3.5 UI.
The HTC Sensation XE is the first smartphone to carry the Beats Audio logo, and it will come with new Beats headset and some of its audio magic — bringing in a dramatic improvement in the sonic experience. As for the camera, the device features an 8-megapixel stills and 1080p video recording. There’s also a dual LED flash and a front-facing VGA camera on board. In terms of connectivity, the HTC Sensation XE has a quad-band GSM, dual-band 3G with HSPA support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and FM Radio. The device also comes with 3.5mm audio jack, MHL-enabled microUSB port and microSD card slot.
HTC’s Sensation XE is expected to hit the stores on Q4 2011, while its price is yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, bear in mind that the device is not the rumored Runnymede.
