Freshman New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has been one of the fiercest opponents of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. In fact, she has been fiercer and more consistent about repealing DADT than President Barack “Fierce Advocate” Obama. Indeed, she has been on the forefront of the repeal effort, even though she is not part of the committee where the eventual compromise amendment originated.
