I knew after I held one in my hand for the first time.
I knew that it was always meant to be this way and really, it came quite naturally. Everyone around me thought I should be out playing football, that I should be like the other boys, but I just wasn’t. I was meant to be right where I was, eyes focused on my prize in anticipation. I admired every inch of it, and I didn’t want to put it down. I couldn’t. I gripped it firmly but delicately the entire time I held it, and then it was over.
I had read my first comic. (What were you thinking?!)
