Hamas: Israeli Massacre in Gaza Result of Bush Support

In response to the martyrdom of at least 17 Palestinians during the Israeli occupation army's operation in Gaza on Tuesday, Hamas said in a statement that "the massacre conducted by the Israeli occupation army is a direct result of the go-ahead and backing given by (US President George W. Bush) to the Zionists' continued attacks in the Strip."

    • GENOCIDE OF GAZA CHILDREN
      1) There are 1.5 million people in Gaza
      2) 56% of Gaza's population are children.
      3) Israel accidentally killed 68 gazan children last year.
      4) That's 1 : 12,353 odds of a gaza child dying by israel last year

      On doing further research, I've discovered that more children in gaza die from

      * slipping in a bathtub
      * falling from a ladder
      * car accidents
      * alcohol
      * suicide
      * firearms
      * drowning
      * smoking

      Clearly the Zionists are putting pork fat on the the bathtubs and ladders to make them slippery! Free Palestine! HAHA!

    • This article proves that Hamas lives in a black and white world in much the same way that George W. Bush does. Like any top-level policy decision, there are myriad reasons the Israeli government may have attacked Gaza on this particular date in this particular way. Maybe Bush's visit had something to do with it, but it surely wasn't the only reason. Here's another possible reason for the raid: According to an article in the Jerusalem Post, the main reason for the attack was internal political pandering to a right of center candidate who is threatening to leave PM Olmert's already shaky coalition:

      It's important to remember that this is all merely speculation. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter why war happens, but what matters is that it should be stopped. Human beings are being killed unnecessarily on both sides and the only solution is to learn to live together as neighbors.

    • I wouldn't say that statement is too far off. Here's a great commentary from Jonathan Steele of the Guardian on Bush's role in perpetuating the tensions and violence in the Gaza Strip. I find it really frustrating, though, that US politicians keep getting involved in a centuries old religious conflict that cannot be solved by any outsider, at the cost of so many innocent lives.
