Warning! Inspiration ahead: From geeks to cooks, people are cooking up schemes to help people in Haiti

There is one benefit to living through a crisis: it shows you what your made of, and what the people who are around you are made up of. It shows you who is courageous and shows up, and who runs.

I was struck yesterday by a comment left on one of our first blog posts about how to support aid efforts in Haiti; the person was pleading for a way to help, no aid organizations had space or availability to support them. It raises an interesting point: aid agencies can't manage all of the people who want to help, so it is with great pleasure that we get to share these two inspirational stories of people who took matters into their own hands and developed their own systems to offer aid. From geeks to cooks, people are finding unique ways to plug in.
