Hope for Haiti on Current

Tonight at 8PM ET, Current  will be joining dozens of media outlets around the world to broadcast live the "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief" telethon.

In case you've been hiding under a rock or run for the hills every time you hear the word, "Haiti", more than 100 stars, including Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Bono, The Edge and Jay-Z, have signed on to help raise funds for the victims of last week's devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake on this impoverished island.

In addition to our participation with this global televised event, Current has scheduled both our online and television networks with programming and features designed to both highlight the relief efforts as well as provide interactive guides on how you can get involved.

Highlights include:

  • “Get Involved” on-air and online promotional messages by Vanguard’s Marianna van Zeller

  • Public service announcements on how you can donate

  • Stories highlighting how different groups across the US are raising money
