Meanwhile, President Evo Morales said Wednesday that Bolivia would seek U.N. condemnation of what he called the U.S. military occupation of earthquake-stricken Haiti.

"The United States cannot use a natural disaster to militarily occupy Haiti," he told reporters at the presidential palace.
"Haiti doesn't need more blood," Morales added, implying that the militarized U.S. humanitarian mission could lead to bloodshed.
His criticism echoed that of fellow leftist, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who said Sunday that "it appears the gringos are militarily occupying Haiti."
Washington has dispatched some 11,500 troops to the poor Caribbean nation since the Jan. 12 quake and says the number could reach 16,000 by the weekend.
Looks like the number of troops keeps rising and rising.

I am sorry if I refuse to take the word of Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales, two outspoken enemies of the U.S. and our foreign policy as truth......what about the violence that has already broken out is and is going to get worse. Have you forgotten the chaos and terror in 94, bodies burning in the streets, hacked into pieces and left to rot where they fell! Hundreds of Haitians ransacked buildings ravaged by last week's quake, searching for any possible supplies as they awaited more relief. Police arrived to disperse crowds, however, no shots were fired during the melee.
The U.S. Geological Survey said Wednesday's tremor was centered 35 miles (60 km) west-southwest of Port-au-Prince.
Desperate and hungry residents of Port-au-Prince have been sleeping outdoors since the Jan. 12 earthquake because their homes were destroyed, or from fear of aftershocks.
Fears of violence and looting have eased in Haiti as U.S. troops provide security for water and food aid deliveries, and thousands of displaced Haitians have heeded the government's advice to seek shelter outside Port-au-Prince.
While military escorts are needed to deliver relief, the United Nations said security problems were mainly in areas considered "high risk" before the disaster. Some 4,000 criminals escaped from prisons damaged by the earthquake.

Seriously? You are obsessed with this. And this is the same video you have posted and reposted days that proves nothing except that one repoter is worried about a similiar response to this earthquake as was given to Katrina. I hate to break it to you, but this is normal practice for this type of situation. The military goes in to provide security to the doctors and rescue workers, the engineers work on getting the ports and buildings safe, and douchebags sit at thier computers and complain about it.
From what I've read and seen from people actually in Haiti, there are many people working together to help out this devastated country. They are still digging through the rubble hoping to find survivors, they have cleared roads so that aid can get to those in need, repaired the docks so that ships carrying additional supplies can unload their cargo, performed countless emergency surgeries, and given out tons of food, water and medical supplies. What have you done, aside from posting this ONE video showing ONE person saying we are "occupying" Haiti. Everything else I've heard, including a live report from Soledad Obrien, showed weary Haitians happy to see help arrive; smiling faces gladly accepting the food and water being given to them.
Now you can either donate some money to the releif effort or go over there and start working on rebuilding the country yourself, just stop sitting on your ass and complaing about the people who are already doing it. - 2 years ago

i agree completely. If people don't have any better ideas on how toi help these people, they should just stfu and let the relief efforts continue.

Not a bad idea. The rest of the world will do a hell of a lot better without the U.S. occupation which hinders instead of helps. But the U.S. will not let that happen. They want to to own Haiti, always have, God knows why.

I saw this coming from day 1. The military and John Edwards can go to Haiti but Kanye West cannot.
He talks too much and this time he might be right.
