"Do not f*ck with graphic designers"

Republicans have recently released a terror-inducing visualization of how the Democratic health care plan will work. The chart's content has caused a stir in American politics but the strongest reaction came from the graphic design world.

Robert Palmer, a designer from California, has decided to recreate the chart and write a rather emotional letter - aptly titled "Do not f*ck with graphic designers".

"I think Democrats, Republicans, and independents agree that the problem is very complicated, no matter how you visualize it. By releasing your chart, instead of meaningfully educating the public, you willfully obfuscated an already complicated proposal. [...]
So, to try and do my duty both to the country and to information design (a profession and skill you have loudly shat upon), I have taken it upon myself to untangle your delightful chart."

Here is the original chart (story clipped by ras_menelik): http://current.com/items/90426914_scaring-america-with-badly-designed-health-car...

    • That graph is a work of art. As opposed to this monstrosity which used harsh colors and shapes as well as a myriad of overlapping lines to exude a sense of infinite complexity. Notice how they put the president and congress at the top of the graph. you think that was an accident? another toy in the mindless game of money vs the american people.
