Thanksgiving is not good news for turkeys. But lately, some turkeys are fighting back. After being hunted almost out of existence more than 100 years ago, wild turkey populations are on the rise. In the Northeast and Midwest, a lot more of these large and at times, ornery birds are setting up their roosts in suburban backyards.

I lived in this part of Boston where turkeys roam the streets and lurk around every corner. Many a times I crossed paths on my journey to and from school with one of these large gobblers. BEWARE.

I hate turkeys. There's a pack of wild turkeys that roam my parent's neighborhood, and last time I was visiting, they surrounded my car and gobbled at me in a threatening manner. Turkeys are MEAN.
