Historically male friendships are seen as the greatest long standing friendship of all time, while female friendships are not acknowledged as if it were non-existent. Friendship between women are portrayed as frivolous and superficial and if we’re seen with a group of girls we’re most likely “gossiping” about men, sharing fashion tips or looking in to various dieting methods. Studies indicate that many of these stereotypes about women’s friendship still exist.
