Hero dog saves wheelchair man from fire

A wheelchair-bound man, whose house caught fire when he was cooking bacon, was rescued by local canine hero Deja, the death-defying Dog!

Apparently Ray Worrilow from Tennessee fell out of his wheelchair twice during his attempts to both put out the fire AND get out of the building, leaving him exhausted, hopeless and most probably bored. Luckily, just when his spirits were at their lowest Deja, his neighbour's German Shepherd leaped (I'm speculating here) through the fiery inferno and started licking the incapacitated Ray.

Once Deja had had her fill of licky time, apparently she barked a bit, and then eventually dragged Mr Worrilow out of the building by his shirt. Yey! Thank goodness he doesn't cook bacon in the nude.

Now, if things hadn't worked out and this story didn't have a happy ending, what do we think about dying surrounded by the smell of bacon? Sounds kinda nice to me.

    • Yay for Deja and she'll also know what to do if it happens again as she'll have that feeling of Deja Vu

      (Sorry! couldn't help that)
