Yeah I thought that text didn't match the picture. It's talking about other galaxies but the image is just of one galaxy. Confusing stuff.

to me its very simple,we need to put all of time and effort into investigating space and cleaning up the earth.Space science=artistic genius and a clean earth=paradise...its too bad so much of us would rather we spend our time and money on war which only breeds more people who sacrifice and take lives....looking at those images really show how dumb we really are yet how lucky we got it.We need to go show these pictures to inner youth and explain to them why hate and violence is stupid.anyways just ranting..love the hubble its one of my best friends.

This just enforces my opinion that we should be putting more funding into these kind of things.

god does not exist, never has most likely. never shows him/her/its self. you just can't appreciate this beautiful planet and universe, you AUTOMATICALLY like a robot must classify it as made by a magic man in the clouds. you and millions of others are absolutely 100% wrong, ignorant, and sadly arrogant. your absolute sureness does NOT match facts/reality.
question everything...

No - The unexpectedly real aliens will finally see us from a distance and shoot a missile. We will have long been gone, however and it only wipes out the remaining monkeys and cock-roaches.

WOW! This sure is one beautiful and mysterious universe we live in. Us,... new, short-lived creatures on a tiny dot of space & time,... and we only understand a minute fraction of the universe's mysteries. It's things like this,... that don't invoke personal mortality fears, but rather make me wonder what is out there that we will never know. I find it rather serendipitous and fortunate that we live within this realm of astronomical wonders.
Maybe when we get our act together down here on Earth,... we can one day, together, enjoy the knowledge that the Universe bestows.

Somewhere out there is life, the sad thing is that we might not come into contact with any in our lifetime.

This kind of stuff always makes me feel good.
No matter how big I think the problems in my life are, when I look at images of the universe, I quickly realize that none of that shit matters.
