A report into the actions of four Labour peers alleged to have been willing to change laws in exchange for cash is to be published by the House of Lords.
Lord Truscott, Lord Snape, Lord Moonie and Lord Taylor all deny the claim made by the Sunday Times following an undercover investigation.
If found guilty of misconduct, the four men could face sanctions including suspension from Parliament for a year but the police has decided not to proceed with a criminal investigation into the case.

I think we somehow need to severely restrict the amount of lobbying that goes on in out and other Parliaments if the process is to recover the respect of the people. These guys appear (though I don't know what the report will conclude) to have gone over what is a very thin line between what is allowed and what isn't.
I think the public would be rather happier with much tougher restrictions - an end to gifts, entertainment etc by lobbyists. Politicians would get much fitter without all those free lunches too!
