It's an old story, but here's video of Johnny Benson the first day out of the hospital following his supermodified crash. He seems surprisingly well considering burns on his elbow, 3 broken ribs, a broken scapula and two broken collarbones.
The racer's racer, Johnny will run just about anything just about anywhere. Also, as most racers do, he wanted to see the condition of his crashed race car.
Johnny has driven in all three major NASCAR series as well as dozens of other classes and series, as is evidenced by him crashing his supermodified at a local track.
