Could Ron Paul be the next Ralph Nader?

Cenk Uygur asks Al Gore a question from the current.com live chat about whether Ron Paul will become the Ralph Nader of this election on Current TV's "Politically Direct 2012." "He has to think about the future of his son, Rand Paul, in the Republican party," Gore says. "I think that his speech tonight is consistent to his mission of building a libertarian movement... My guess is that he will not now run as an independent." Paul's biggest influence, Gore predicts, may be in garnering enough delegates to impact or introduce a plank for the Republican party platform.
