    • You all agreed with Gore that the media failed to point out the lies prior to the US invasion of Iraq, but then you did the same. A few minutes later, you all joined uncritically with the media's one-sided presentations of US and NATO's justifications of wars such as Libya and now Syria. Yes there are dictators, ours, theirs and independents, but is it right for the American people and the civilians in those countries, for the US to launch wars that devastate our economy and their countries in order supposedly to bring them freedom?

You guys had your chance, but you didn't say one word about the alleged Freedom Fighters in Syria and the outcomes not only in Iraq, but also Libya and finally the world's worsening view of the US.

Millions did oppose these wars past and are doing that now, while you acquiesce.

Another example of media timidity, Al Gore added a stronger addendum when his DVD was released and tonight he did clearly state the reality of catastrophic consequences of climate change for humanity, but not one of you followed up on the fact that the media is again failing us all, far worse than Iraq.

Oh yes, who gets the benefits from the excellent oil in Libya now? I'm sure you know. And was it worth it? For the people of Libya? Really?

    • Consuming 5,000 times the average energy use than buying land in a rainforest in my book doesn't off set anything.
Yes this country might be better off.... if Gore hadn't given up so easily!, after all he had the popular vote

    • Al Gore buys carbon offset credits for every flight that he makes. What else do you want him to do? You can't expect him to get around by bicycle.

This country would be in much better shape right now if the Supreme Court had not stolen the 2000 election from him and given it to George W. Bush.

    • “Civil government, so far as it is instituted for the security of property, is in reality instituted for the defense of the rich against the poor, or of those who have some property against those who have none at all.”

And, in America, the ruling elite does not work; ergo --they do not deserve their riches. And it was also Jefferson who --in his letter to the Danbury Baptists --described a WALL of separation between church and state, a 'wall, that the present-day right wing believes does not exist or, if it does, would tear it down.

    • ABUSE OF DEMOCRACY IS NOT NEW

“Some legislators only wish to vengeance against a particular enemy. Others only look out for themselves. They devote very little time on the consideration of any public issue. They think that no harm will come from their neglect. They act as if it is always the business of somebody else to look after this or that. When this selfish notion is entertained by all, the commonwealth slowly begins to decay. ”

“Most people, in fact, will not take the trouble in finding out the truth, but are much more inclined to accept the first story they hear.”

      ― Thucydides, 460-395 bc

    • Lmao!!.. With a lustful gaze Al Gore fantasizes himself being a young John Fugeilsang.
I know Al gore partially owns Current tv but does current have to put the dullest apple in the middle of the table at every major political event? The second best thing gore has done is create current tv, the best thing he CAN DO is keep his fat face OFF of it!
IMO... It was sad to watch the hosts have to come grovel at the foot of there almighty washed up political leader/boss.
And I also found Michael Shure's "4 distinguished guests and john fugielsang" comment to be very sad. Michael Shure wishes he had the charisma of john's pinky
