Nissan is launching a new car. It’s called the Nissan cube^®, but we are calling it “cube mobile device,” because it brings the world to you. Cube mobile deviceTM connects you with your friends and your favorite places. It’s a great place to share music, chat with your buddies or take you to your favorite hotspots. Like your other devices you can personalize your cube too. It offers over 40 colorful interior accessories and some bold exterior features. All of this makes cube mobile deviceTM as unique as the world it brings to you.

assignment:

Create a VCAM showing how cube mobile deviceTM by Nissan can enhance your world like your mobile devices do.

HINT: The personality of cube mobile deviceTM is social, fun, cool, expressive and inviting.

mandatories:

• :30 second preferred, :60 maximum (including endtag)
• Must use provided endtag
• Highlight at least one of the following:
  a) Emotion: social, inviting, cool, friendly
  b) Functionality: surprisingly spacious and versatile interior with plenty of room for friends and cargo, unique refrigerator-style rear door
  c) Style: unique design features, wraparound window, ripple effect interior design elements, colorful accessories
  d) Value: expressive styling, great functionality, comprehensive safety that comes standard and cool personalization features for less

    The Nissan Cube Mobile Device is not a car

    The spot is designed to differentiate the Nissan Cube from other vehicles and position it as a mobile device. I limited the color palette to high tech colors to focus attention on the Cube's unique body style. With limited access to a Nissan Cube, I built a 3D model of the Cube using 3D Studio Max for the graphic demonstration scenes.
    
    The photographs were from Nissan's promotional kit. I mixed the music with royalty-free sound effects.

    We aimed to highlight the Cube's highly customizable qualities as well as to identify the young and hip style that the cube and its drivers share.
    
    I would like to give a hearty thanks to Mahala Gaylord for helping me so much with this project, Jason Choi for dancing his brains out, Skyler Dobin and Max Hendrin for wardrobe, and of course the New House School of Public Communications at Syracuse University for making it happen.
