You have the latest and best rifle in your hands and you are getting a chill from the river breeze in the cool night air. The ship is tied to the dock and once in a while you hear the creaking noise of the old wood that the ship is tied up to.
All of a sudden the man who is guarding the navy ship calls out to you. "Hey what is this?" There, coming down the river and heading for the ocean is a silent object that looks like a white/yellowish oblong flying thing. It is flying, but has silent: you don't hear a sound, except the slight slapping of the waves on the pier and the ship. It is getting closer. What to do? Do you fire at it or just watch in awe and amazement of the "something" flying and coming at you and the ship?
There is no one to call or ask. The object is getting closer. It is almost over your head. As it gets nearer and closer you look at each other and decide this thing, nobody has seen before and you get panicky. What to do? So both men bring their guns up and fire at the object as it passes over their heads.
You hear the bullets hit the object. The sharp ping, ping on the metal surface. Now the object brightens up and silently gains speed and heads down the river and out to sea. Both men look at each other in bewilderment. One of the guards runs to get a superior officer. As the officer and the other servicemen run back they witness the White-yellowish silent object head out to sea. This is something that no one, not even an officer, has ever seen before.
The object that two armed navy men shot at and hit was still flying. It continued making no noise and appeared to have no engine or wings. No one has ever seen any thing like that before. It was reported to the base commander. He doesn't believe what he is hearing! A flying object, completely silent and all the servicemen heard was the sound of the bullets bouncing off its hull. The officer tells the navy admiral and the admiral gets the testimony of all three men who swear to the incident in written statements. Remember it is 1896.
Things Molder and Scully missed.

Research on your "Real" alien pictures:
1.The Lolladoff Plate: "This plate was first shown in a book from the 1970s entitled 'Sungods in Exile' by Karyl Robin-Evans. The book was actually written by a chap named David Agamon whose real name was Gamon who admitted to magazine Fortean Times that this was his hoax." Done and done as far as that one is concerned!
2. Egyptian aliens: while a lot of the information is certainly interesting, the author of the web page makes a lot of assertions that they "have to be aliens"...just because people are depicted with larger heads and slender bodies does not make them aliens! Every civilization had it's own art aesthetic- slenderness and large heads (or heads with elaborate headdresses) are VERY typical of Egyptian art. See below about elongated skulls for another explanation as well! The author claims things like " What better purpose for the steps than to allow the aliens to climb down the pyramids to the ground. That is the most logical reason for their construction." REALLY? The most logical? C'mon.
3. A lot of the pictures on this page have no sources. The author makes no attempt to reference anything nor try to disprove anything. It seems that every could be alien shot made it onto this site without any speculation at all!
4. Elongated skulls are big debate topics- some are positive it's an alien head, some point to binding techniques in certain cultures that produced similar results, some say it's a condition called "dolichocephaly", "in which abnormally early fusion of the bones of the skull during development restricts the width of the head"- a condition that some Egyptian mummies have had, by the way, including Tutankhamun.

The idea of many dimensions has been around for a very long time and has come to be accepted by many branches of science. Katanajon said "Too much credence is put into what our scientist say is true"- but remember, it's scientists who are seriously considering these things and working on theories about things like dark matter and the origin of energy. Don't dismiss science just because it has yet to prove your case.
Most scientists and scientifically minded people are not as closed off to possibility as people here seem to think. Indeed, it is the quantum physicists and cosmologists who are quite aware of how wacky the universe is and how little we really know about it! Having said that, imagining the possibilities of the universe should have a foot planted in skepticism and curiosity so that we can accurately determine the truth!
Also, I'm sorry to say this JuliusBC but the source of this "information" is "ufo digest"? Iffy at best.

I agree that there is so much we have not learned about our universe that we can't rule out the possibilities of new theories that actually shape what is already out there like dark matter and quantum energy. The only thing that will truly amaze me if the theories of alternate universes hold true since the debate among scientists is ongoing.

Indeed, don't "rule out" new theories- count on them! Alternate universe theories are crazy awesome and hey, with the leaps in technology and science these days, who knows- we might make discoveries and inventions within our lifetime that were once considered science fiction!

On different planets the gravitational force is different than it is here on the earth. Just like on the moon it is different than it is here. This affects many things. Lets just suppose that there are many laws that are different than here on our planet or here in our solar system. Since we are basically confined to that which we know which is mainly from that which we have.
If in fact there are many dimensions combined with the vastness of space then what are the possibilities? We are defined by our own limitations and quite often that is governed by our own lack of imagination and our willingness to be open.
We deem ourselves to be the ultimate creation and at the top of the heap. This sets us up for limited thinking and limited rate of expansion as well.
Albert Einstein dared to venture into the unknown and look where he took us. Why is it that so many think that Einstein captured all that there was to be captured and there is nothing left beyond that which he claimed?
New scientific technology is being discovered every day which is taking us to new frontiers. What will we stumble upon on the way? Perhaps we as the human race still have many flat earths (so to speak) yet to overcome.

Our earthly laws aren't always really the laws. Too much credence is put into what our scientist say is true. Remember once it was common knowledge that the world was flat. Check out my profile cantspascua, and listen to the article about the skull. Don't bring into it your preconceived Darwin beliefs, go there with an open mind. Watch the whole thing

Are you a believer of UFO's?/ Skeptical - cantspascua
If you hear a UFO story, be skeptical. Ask questions. If someone describes an object that hovers in the sky, motionless, then tears off at twice the speed of sound. Ask how it could suddenly move that fast, breaking Newton's law of motion. It has to accelerate to that speed , and the faster it speeds up, the more force is needed.
In the meantime, keep watching. Whether you can explain them or not, seeing unusual things is just one of the reasons to look up at the night sky and wonder at our universe. - 3 years ago

Wow Kat! I went to ur link and I just remembered something that happened when I was just a little kid. On this link here:
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/alien_pictures2.html
I saw something exactly like this! It was much smaller thou, only as big as a grasshopper really. I screamed at my mom to come see it, I wanted her to watch it while I found a jar to put it in. She came out in the yard and looked at it and STOMPED it! I was SOOO upset! And it screamed! Like a man would! There was hardly anything left after she stomped it. It was so weird, I guess it scared her. As for me, I was too young and curious to be scared. OMG. I bet it was the same thing or being as in those pixs.

Here's another one. I was Married to a Gal that was a Native American. We lived up in the Northwest in Bellingham Washington. Her GrandMother was a Tribal Elder and Medicine Woman. People on the Reservation were terrified of Her and Respected Her a very great deal. She revealed to Me that when She was a Young Girl She was out behind the cabin hanging laundry. Now this was at a time when there were no roads leading from Lummi Island to the mainland. They would paddle their canoes across the Bay to Bellingham to go pick up supplies. So, She's out there and She feels something watching Her. As She's hanging the Laundry She turns Her head sideways and looks out of the corner of Her eye and in the bushes just off to Her right she spots a Sasquatch watching Her. She says to me Briney! You never look one in the eyes..It'll make You go crazy! Her Brothers were both Police Officers with the Tribe. Both Men have spotted Sasquatch on numerous night Patrols on the Reservation. Do I believe them? Without question! The University of Washington has conducted Interviews with Agatha to relate the way it was on the Frontier with the Haida, and Salish Indians in the late 1800's. She's a direct, no bullshit sort of Woman. She knows what She saw and had no doubt of its existence. Just another part of the Natural Realm to Her, no big deal.

It was just dust, or lint, a weather balloon! You got it Katman! I listened to some stuff on youtube. It was Henry Kissenger who was talking about using Flying Saucer Invasion as a way to induce Mass Hysteria leading to Martial Law in the U.S. I'm not going to write this off as Government Conspiracy, but the evidence of abductions are just to great to ignore. The People who tell of these incidents are all telling of the same things! And they are not just repeating what they have heard.
Okay, this is a true story! I know an Elderly Couple who own a Farm up in the Northwest. They are just down to Earth Normal Alphalpha Farmers who raise pigs and goats, cows and Chickens. They are textbook okay. Two of the most Normal People You could ever want to know. We'll call them, Chuck and Edna. One night Chuck and Edna are up in the Barn delivering calves. It's hard work! I've done it. Finally after finishing up, they walk out of the Barn and Edna says Lookit that Chuck. What is that? He looks up and coming directly at them overhead is an oval shaped craft, moving fast and silent. It shoots over their heads, not more than a hundred feet above them, and goes up the Canyon past the Barn and heading to The West facing slope of Mt. St. Helens. I know them both personally. I can vouch that they are not Kooks or Drinkers or Drug Users okay? They are just plain Farmers. They don't talk about much. Edna relayed the story to Me just as She saw it. Now Chuck, He was in the Air Force when He was a Young Man. He's pretty savvy about aircraft and the like. He tells Me that it was no man made Craft that He has ever seen. I believe them. Why? You would too if You knew who they were. They do not need any noteriety. Everyone knows em at the Feed Store as just Chuck and Edna. They are just plain folk. My Hair stood on end! - 3 years ago

More UFO Sightings 1896 - Newspapers carried a growing number of reports of airship experiments, setting off the "Airship Hysteria" of 1896-97. There was an increase in airship patent applications in the late 1890s. Samuel Pierpont Langley tested his first aeroplane model on May 6, 1896. Swedish explorer Solomon Andree made an unsuccessful attempt at an Arctic balloon trip May 31. William Paul crashed his airship Albatross in September. The Sacramento Bee reported Nov. 17 that three New York men would attempt to fly an airship to California, and over the next several days hundreds of reports of airship sightings came in from people around Sacramento. Another wave of hundreds of sightings took place from January to May in 1897. Most of the sightings were at night during the winter months, started in California and spread east, and were fueled by sensationalistic newspaper stories. William Randolph Hearst published an editorial in his San Francisco Examiner, Dec. 5, 1896, critical of this sensationalism: " 'Fake journalism' has a good deal to answer for, but we no not recall a more discernible exploit in that line than the persistent attempt to make the public believe that the air in this vicinity is populated with airships. It has been manifest for weeks that the whole airship story is pure myth." (quoted in Frazier p. 20) Source: sandiego
