I prefer we get off the monetary freakin' system and kick all politicians over to a remote island to fend for themselves while we start over!
8 more years of Bush and his Buttboys is unimaginable Another 9/11 wouldn't be much better but is still preferable to anything that ignorant idiot could offer.
Days to go before I sleep ... Then it should really get interesting!
Peace!

I would prefer we invest heavily in alternative energy, kick corporate America out of our government, and begin an era of leadership with hope and possibility rather than fear and retribution.

There might not have been a 9/11 if Bush had listened to the people trying to brief him about the possibility 0f it. Bush didn't have the balls to be president. He hid behind Cheney letting him bully the white staff and others in the administration. He showed his ineptness when he froze instead of acting when Katrina happened. For 8 years he showed his ineptness in front of the world when he could hardly put a proper sentence together before the cameras. Of course I don't want another 9/11 but God protect us from another Bush.

We'll pretend for a minute that Bush didn't have anything to do with 9/11...
Another 9/11 would be much easier to recover from than 8 more years of what we've experienced with this horrific president.

I'm surprised they still haven't been hanged for what they've done. Or more of the fact, what they're still doing.

Another 9/11, and hopefully this time all the questions get answered the right way. zeitgeistmovie.com's questions to be exact.

With the shot clock winding down, a second 9/11 can't be ruled out with 8 more years of Bush/Cheney under martial law possible.

Another 9/11. Less innocent people would die.
Plus, it would serve as a catalyst for greater oppression, which would serve as a catalyst for rebellion. - 4 years ago

Depends, which of the two options has wasted more American lives, which has cost us more, and which is going to have a longer lasting effect?

Look at it this way: The ONLY 9/11 was with Bush/Cheney.
Only Bush/Cheney gave us both crazy things: Remember, Bush was explicitly briefed about it, just as he was briefed about Katrina and the broken dykes.
So, I DON't have to choose between the two. I can easily choose neither.

au contraire! in the case of a false dichotomy, two similar items are presented as mutually exclusive. id est, the illusion is presented that you must choose one or the other.
if you read the article (instead of just the title?) you will see the author is not perpetuating a false dichotomy but rather challenging those who would present one in their defense of Bush-Cheney with claims that a second 9/11 didn't happen therefore, Bush-Cheney did a good job.
the thrust of the article is that neither 9/11 or B-C are opposites, they are two evils, the author challenges the notion held by fools that B-C did well because a second 9/11 didn't happen. the author argues that a second 9/11 would have been preferable to B-C!
a quick and clever answer is not always the best one, mon ami.

The question is absurd and subtly implies that without Bush/Cheney we would have had another 911. It's more than likely that if we had had someone other than those two in office we wouldn't have had the first 911.

Interesting point. I could see how you might take it that way if you just read the title, but the article is saying that a second 9/11 would have been preferable to Bush-Cheney. Only Bush supporters claim B-C- prevented a second 9/11.
This essay is not in any way pro-Bush. I'm sure the author would vomit if anyone thought he was pro-Bush! LOL

A philosophical question deserves an answer in kind. Neither. Well written article with interesting equations though.
