This happens in every election though. And not just for Presidents either. In NJ the choice between Corzine and Christie was like choosing between crap and poop. But what makes this election different is the fact that Obama got considerably more electoral votes and more states won than his competitor...

You're probably right that the it is up to to members themselves to edit, fact check and proofread the stories since all the available evidence supports that.

It doesn't look like the name factcheck has been taken for a group name. But getting people to use that group and put the effort into following through on that idea is quite another kettle of fish

Maybe adding the tag 'fact check fail' would work to separate fact from fiction. I think an accumulation of 'fact check fail' posts, would move the poster to where they belong, spinning in the corner. Not at the top of current.

It doesn't seem to be how the system is set up, since the tags don't have that affect on the voting, the tags only affect how it is searched for not the position on the list
