    • Journalists often are protective, sneaky, and tight lipped about their work. But they also help each other out from time to time, it like a code of honor among thieves. Those at the very top of their game usually have the confidence to help out those who are up and coming. Peter Bergen is one such fine example of a journalist. Bergen is one of the few Western journalists to have met Osama Bin Laden. He has been reporting on Afghanistan for years and contributes to almost every major piece on the subject of Afghanistan. He teaches at Hopkins and is an all around great guy. I had a chat with Peter before Afghanistan and we shared a beer upon my safe return. Peter Bergen, all class.
