    • Interesting piece, but I'm not totally buying it as "saving myself for marriage" virginity.

      @kunnikr - There is so much dogmatic innuendo, ie. preacher, family history, pre-purchased wedding ring, etc. that leads me to believe there is much more to Demarcus' psyche (aside from sex/sexuality). It makes me wonder about him even more after watching this 5 min clip and then reading his website biography.

      Nevertheless, I hope he's still doing well.

    • I think this pod is great for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, I think Demarcus Reed is an everyday person who has chosen to do something different from current mainstream culture, and he didn't do it for some lofty dogma imposed on him or because he was pressured to do so by family, friends, religion, fear, etc. He did it for himself.

      Also, I love how the pod illustrates that decision is not easy. Demarcus Reed is an everyday guy with everyday worries, but he inspires us by showing how he keeps his eye on his vision and the fact that he has already chosen his wedding ring is amazing.

      I love seeing people who manifest the reality the wish to be and see without withdrawing from mainstream culture and without the need to impose it on others.
