    • When pitching a story, I usually research a lot beforehand and even more extensively when I get the greenlight. Setting up meetings, contacts, etc. takes awhile. When you are in the field, things change and you have to adapt. So here we are reading up on the road at one of the hotels that we stayed at. The couch is straight out of that 70s show.

    • More than 500 billion cups of coffee are served world a year. More than half of all Americans over the age of 18 DRINK COFFEE DAILY! On average, US coffee drinkers consume 3 1/2 cups a day per person!

Coffee is the world's second most valuable commodity, following oil.

So enough of the facts, we went to find the answer to the question, Why do we pay $3-$5 for a latte when the coffee farmers make $3-$5 a day (if they are lucky)? Where does the money go?
