Breaking the Curse

jsoskin
In Kenya, there are widespread misconceptions about those who are born with disabilities Those suffering from disabilities are considered "curses by God" and can be abandoned, marginalized, and sometimes even killed at birth. Kupenda is a non-profit organization dedicated to the needs of handicapped children in the developing world, as well as eradicating misconceptions about the handicapped.

    • this was so eye opening and heart wrenching. i never go online to make comments, but i felt that this was worthy. as much as this hurts, it is something that we all need to open our eyes to more. people are so caught up in the day to day "heaven/hell" here, that they never care what happens elsewhere.
keep up the good work and i will be looking into more info regarding your cause!!!!

    • It's good to see a programme that raises awareness on these issues, which so often get ignored.

However, I think the filmmakers could have developed the story about the young (orphaned?) child with more clarity.
