    • Avia, I don't even know you and I'm so proud of you! You look sooo happy on the part of the segment after finding your new family and church. Please always remember: the church doesn't make the religion. Faith does. And faith is personal. No one can tell you what to believe or how live out your love for God. Only you can decide and it's very evident your choice was the right one all around. You're to be commended on your strength!! You were true to yourself, and consequently, true to God. I'm pretty sure (understatement!) He would find anything less insulting and unworthy of Him,,, and you!

    • I'm a Christian and i am so ashamed at how unaccepting and sometimes downright hateful many christians are toward homosexuals...the title Christian denotes a follower of Christ, nowhere 'in all these chapters' would you ever see Christ treating someone in that manner....Christ actually accepted and embraced sinners, and when he ate with them, the religious people shunned him...many christians are just religious people in disguise, not so often will you find someone really livin and followin the principles of Christ

    • This is a really amazing pod. As a Christian I''ve witnessed the intolerance that is regularly shown to people who are gay...and seeing a truly personal account makes my heart sad. Christ adores everyone...I don''t know how any professing Christian can deny that love to gays and lesbians.

      I like how you included the follow up on Avia''s life and her relationship with her grandmother.
