Why is the government in the business of sanctioning marriage? It is nothing more than a blatant form of discrimination against a specific class of people. Unfortunately the government has failed to enforce the rules governing 501(c)(3) status for religious institutions, particularly when engaged in political activism. It is a fairly simple and clear cut observation.
The Bill of Rights was intended to be an inclusive article. Separate but equal is unacceptable in this day and age, particularly when countries like Uruguay, Argentina and Chile already have non discrimination laws for gay individuals. It is time to remind the religious right that they are clearly blurring the line between state and church. - 1 year ago

I doubt we'll ever see every state in the U.S. adopt gay marriage or civil unions, but state by state we will see this issue get more prevalence as the years go by.
I'm proud to be from a state that is enlightened on this issue.
