    • I believe that anyone who has the mental stbility to know the differance between right and wrong should be able to own a gun, but the constitution alows anyone to be allowed and while the law states anyone witha criminal record canoont be in possestion of a gun this does not mean that everyone follows the rules and there will always be a secondary market that sells to anyone with money.

    • The whole video they kept talking about gays as the sexual minority.... I am pretty sure that hermaphrodites are the only sexual minority... And the constitution applies to everyone, even hermaphrodites.. Hermaphrodites 1 - Gays 0.

Edit: The constitution allows everyone to carry a gun... Leave it to a homo to try to make a new NRA. NRA 1 - Gays 0.

    • It is great to see this. The lady who says "it is safer that people not have guns" is right. Unfortunately criminals will have gins regardless of the laws. I had to defend myself and my family once from an intruder in my home and was very glad to be armed. You go Gays!

    • I came out in 1975, at the age of 19 an in 35 years I've never needed a gun to protect myself because I'm gay.

In my experience and observation, most gay bashings are committed against those who are either insecure about their sexual identity, or those who are inherently vulnerable, and unlikely candidates for "packin' heat".

The queers I saw on this show were neither of the above, and I doubt they would be likely targets of gay-bashers... with or without their guns.

Fighting violence with more violence defies logic, though I do understand why some folks may think they are more secure packing a pistol.

For myself, I'll continue to rely on my own sense of reason and persuasion to deter would-be attackers. It's served me well so far and there is zero risk of anyone being accidentally or intentionally harmed physically because I own or carry a firearm.

I'm capable enough of hurting people with my words, why would I want to add lead to my arsenal?

Jonathan, I'm glad you've been OK, and I wouldn't push you to own or carry any weapon if you figure you can do without them. That's entirely up to you. By the same token, though, I reserve the right to make that choice for myself, and I do choose to carry a firearm to protect myself and my family. Unfortunately, that's illegal in this state, and that's why I've got so much work to do--and I'm glad the Pink Pistols are working at the same cause.

The Pink Pistols are not trying to force people like you to carry guns. We're simply asserting our own right to make the choice for ourselves (I'm not an official spokesman for the PP, I'm just saying.)

    • i'm not a gun nut, but it only makes since for the most persecuted & criminalized groups of people should know how to protect themselves.
guns are wild, but a lot of the problems arise because so many of the people that have them are not well versed in how to use them. if gangs & other criminals knew how to shoot maybe there wouldn't be any more stray bullets killing babies & gandmas!
i always thought that @ least all women should should pack heat just in case, but everyone deterring persecution by being armed still does nothing to address the root cause off the problem. flashing chrome to bigots will probably only give more fuel to their ignorance......& for the record i think that we should all know how to use weapons to feel comfortable around them not that we should all be strapped just in case.

    • Not sure what dream world the anti-gun commenter in this vid is living in. Does she actually believe that law enforcement can protect us from the criminal element before any wrong-doing occurs in most cases? Clueless. Give me an effin break. I'll continue to use my right to bear and permit to carry firearms. thank you very much.

    • One more thing: if anyone out there is thinking of joining Pink Pistols, remember that there are no dues and no registration. If you say you're a member, you're a member. There's no requirement that you be gay, straight, or whatever, either.

There's also no requirement that you be a shooter or a gun owner. If you've never touched a gun before and you want to know more, get in touch with your local Pink Pistols chapter and ask if someone can take you shooting. As long as you don't mind sitting through some talking about safety first, someone will be glad to help out.

    • Fading Chaos, people often think it would be great to use an unloaded gun to bluff their way out of a dangerous situation. It really isn't.

In real life, bluffing is a very bad idea. You have no way of knowing whether the people who want to hurt you are even capable of understanding the deterrent you're trying to use. If you don't want to use a weapon to protect yourself, you're better off doing without. If you want to use a weapon to protect yourself, you need to be able to use it, willing to use it, and know when it's necessary and when it's not.

    • This story made me realize that there are, sadly, some places our country that are not as accepting of individual differences. Personally I don't think an armed weapon would be ideal. think just displaying a unarmed weapon would have the same effect without having the potential of causing death. Hopefully as time goes on, compassion for others will become widespread over-shadow the negative energy out there.

    • I think this is a great idea. People shouldnt be hated for who they love. If they have guns people wont mess with them. They need protection but no one is helping them to they need to do what they need to do.
