What better way to experience Cape Town's breathtaking views than by dangling down the steepest cliffs of Table Mountain? This pod introduces us to "Abseil Africa," and one guy whose passion for this type of adventure has turned into a career.

    • At least it's a video about an outdoor activity. But the title, A rope away from death? Far from it. Hardly any risk is involved in what they are doing. Maybe there is an individual fear factor about heights or being ignorant about the safety gear they are wearing. The video would be cooler if they were climbing up Table Mountain. That still is not as risky as it would look either. You would have to be pretty dumb to die.

    • I liked the variety of camera angles this pod incorporated. My favorite shot was of the wide-side view that was flipped vertical. The producer also incorporated tight shots of ropes and other gear well, especially to make smooth transitions. The main character wasn't incredibly compelling but I think people are always going to be interested in the story of someone who breaks the norms by getting an unconventional adventure job after school. Cool pod.

    • What a beautiful place! It brings back some good memories when I got to travel to RSA three years ago. Here's a picture of some of my friends hanging out at the top of Table Mountain.

    • If you don't want to rappell down the mountain, you can always hike up it. I think it takes 4 hours, but you have to be in good shape.

    • I've never heard the term "abseiling" before, but maybe that is just me. Rappelling seems like an interesting activity, with a unique history. I mean, who decided to climb up and down cliffs?
