The pod on Virginia Tech and the right to bare arms is a topic that needs to be adressed as a society. There are too many variables in a conflict between two people for example being attack on campus, so having a gun is only going to lead to a you lose i win situation. I suggest self defense like Aikido for example. The creator of aikido Morihei Ueshiba states that aikido purpose is to promote life and understanding, not to defeat others. the only enemy that Ueshiba recognized was the enemy within (The Spiritual Foundations of Aikido by William Gleason) and so aikido gives options and the option of I win you win, and those people in conflict can continue living their lives. this would also lessen crime in our cities.

Great, when help is needed it is needed in seconds, everyone would be dead waiting for PD.
I think each teacher in colleges and high schools shoud be trained instucted and mandatory to carry.
Now that the liberals have taken God out of schools, you can see what has replace Him, drugs and attacks on students and teacher.

I am in favor of guns on campus as long as they are carried ONLY by students with the proper training and background checks.
Campus police are fine for writing tickets, but when it comes to my safety I trust myself first and foremost; I'm not going to die waiting for them to deal with it.

fighting guns with more guns only serves to flood the system and make it uncontrollable.
This is analogous to saying that we should remove all laws and allow the people to decide whether or not laws should be upheld. It is up to the POLICE to keep us safe. That is their job. It is not a student's place to "protect" fellow students from a deranged person with a gun.

Actually, according to the supreme court, the police have a duty only to protect the community and not you ar any other individual. Your argument also has one very obvious flaw: Laws can't keep guns out of the wrong hands. Your argument soiunds like this: People shouldn't have guns because they can't be trusted; We should pass a law that outlaws guns, and people will follow it because they can be trusted.

What a joke every time the gun issue comes up people lose their sense like a deer in headlights. A “gun free zone” does nothing to protect you from someone who is committed to breaking the law. The only thing a “gun free zone” does is illuminate the discord shared by those who choose to protect themselves and those who feel such protection is unwarranted. If you want to create a “Gun free zone” great, just make sure you surround it a high barb wire fence and plenty of metal detectors.

Excellent video, very well done. I strongly agree with the right to keep & bear arms. The idea of a "gun free zone" is as absurd as a "crime free zone" - if we lived in a Utopia than fine, but since we don't, there will always be bad people willing to do bad things. The only option we have is to be prepared to defend ourselves if it ever becomes necessary, whether that defense is against a mass murderer, a car jacker, kidnapper, or a rapist. If a rapist ever attacks my daughter I want her to be able to end his pathetic life with a slug in his head. Better that than for my daughter to end up dead.

I believe students should be able to carry guns, if just a few students were carrying guns during the Virginia Tech shootings, it would of prevented 32 innocent people from losing their lives.
