    • i think it a shame how we do treat illegal aliens in this country, imagine GOD forbid u where born in a third world country n after all efforts to better up ur situation , u finally arrive n you are insted deported to go back and start afresh, its ridiculous.Every body hope 4 good life,n for those who are fortunate, good and fine ,for the unfortunate ones, keep trying may be in the next world things will be the reverse.

    • This is a fantastic story! I applaud your success here! I also think it is very noble that you wish to apply your education to helping your homeland.

As for one world government? I have mixed feelings...in a perfect utopia i think it would be grand. However, if it is achieved at the end of a rifle...i dont agree. For such a utopia to exist we would have to evolve quite a bit as humans and get past the ego self

    • Regarding White Collar Immigrant, Alex, I''m wondering why he doesn''t seek legal citizenship? I''m truly ignorant about that process - or maybe he prefers to remain a citizen of Venezuela? I would like to see a world where all of us are citizens of the world - no more nation states. Would that create social and/or economic chaos? I''m thinking it wouldn''t. I''m thinking it might even make life on earth a bit easier for us all - wouldn''t it? Already we have a global economy - although some appear to pretend we don''t - but we don''t have a global "citizen" government to manage that global economy for the benefit of all instead of for the benefit of the few. I think the establishment of the UN years ago was a "seed" for such a world government, but that seed appears to still be a seed - it hasn''t taken root and flourished - maybe it would be desirable to change the environment in which that seed exists - but how I''m unclear. Maybe the EU offers some strategies for doing this? Maybe we could get the EU to evolve into the WU (World Union)? Any ideas?

    • Alex: Thanks for your story. We are a nation of immigrants and that is what lends to our nation''s success and unique American culture. Most citizens who are frustrated by illegal immigration are very supportive of those who, like yourself, despite the redtape of beauracracy, persist in their pursuit of legal status and contribute their gifts and talents to the U.S. Hopefully we can change laws to assist those who knock at the door and offer them an easier route to success. This can be a win/win.
I applaud you and your respect to adhere to our law, albeit imperfect. We will do better, for the sake of others like you.
