the most bogus thing about this piece is the way that these allegedly liberated women demean strippers every time they can...one of main reasons that women don''t receive the equity they deserve is because other women will not allow them the complete freedom of expression that all humans deserve.
stripping may be a wack job, but the women that choose 2 (or thru circumstances they cannot control) do it deserve the same level of respect that any woman in any other career...if not more
just because u don''t approve or think stripping is somehow "bad" does not mean that u have the right 2 deny or condemn others that choose 2 shake it for ca$h.

As the person who is interviewed in this segment I would have to say that every time I teach and every time I am asked what the difference between burlesque and stripping is I NEVER EVER demean that line of work. If anything I inflate it. It is a lot more physically and emotionally taxing than the work I do as a burlesque performer and fully appreciate that. I would hate for anyone to think I was demeaning them b/c that is in no way the intention. I love strip clubs, but I love burlesque shows too!

Interesting story, too bad it''s so out of date! I don''t know if the "school" is still around, but Veronika and Nasty definitely aren''t involved anymore, and haven''t been since early 2006. They were the good teachers. (And still do a weekly show together every Sunday.)
Fortunately, burlesque legend Jo Boobs has been teaching shimmy for many years at her School of Burlesque. If you want to learn burlesque, that''s the place to go.

Looks like you have some misinformation as well. No worries! Red Hots Burlesque is very much alive and very much well. Performing on both the east and west coasts, RHB is currently based in San Francisco.
