Thanks for your support Zweber, it is pretty fun to blow expectations away, both of ourselves and each other. It’s important to us that our community understands that everyone-disabled or not—contributes equally to and benefits equally from the work we do. We’re all doing for/with each other! If you haven't checked out our website yet, we've got a great blog going of our most recent collaboration with NY-based Choreographer David Dorfman with some neat pictures and video: www. axisdance.org Best to you on starting your own physically integrated program - AXIS Dance Company"

Dance is an expression unique to each individual with or without disabilities. I have had opportunity to dance with several people in wheelchairs in the last year. I can tell you that some are apprehensive, but others are so greatful and spiritualy lifted. Joy comes over their being and the smile on their faces and the light in their eyes moves my soul and humbles me.................AXIS Dance Company, you are great, you are doing a good thing for these folks! I tell everyone I dance with to never stop dancing. I really think it is a key to health and youthfullness. I want so badly to start a troupe in my area. Dance on..............

I am a vibrant 51yr.-old. I am known in my city of Yankton,SD as the "DANCING QUEEN." This past Summer I danced on Main Street at our " Second Annual Rib Fest," for twelve hours straight! Everyone I know marvels at my energy and stamina. I tell peoplle that dancing is very spiritual and how we do it is our interpretation of the music. I dance with my whole heart and soul!!! Ask anyone who knows me. I feel that dancing, cheerfully with gratitude is an important key to one's happiness. While I am not physically challenged, I have just recently fallen on the ice, and I am temperarily disabled. I can only try to understand more compassionately what people go through. I broke my wrist on my right hand. So I am doing this one handed. It's not easy, and neither are any of the other day to day tasks. I have a friend whoes mother passed away from Huntington's Korea Disease. It is called the "dancing disease," because of the dibillitating physical jerking movements that take over, and mental too. My friend has not been diagnosed one way or another. There is no cure, there is also a 50% chance he may carry the gene! He is scared! He loves to dance. For these danceAbled, for the love of God, keep on dancing! I plan on dancing right thru those "Pearly Gates someday. Spirits are free to dance and fly.Truly,Veronica Zweber,VEMZ57@hotmail.com

Brought me to tears. Another chance for people to stop labeling others and start seeing people as simply that.. human beings, dancing from their hearts.

the pretty lady at the end of this pod brought tears to my eyes with the story she shared about her dream to be on stage dancing.
i'm so glad there are people on this planet who aren't afraid to do what makes them feel good, no matter how it looks to other people...

Nick is phenominal!! I believe God has a very specific purpose for him. His positive perspective on the cards he's been dealt certainly makes one stop and think about our choices in life, and that we all are given great potential. We just have to be greatful, and we must access our talents and abilities, only then can we fullfill our expectations and become the best at who we were meant to be. I for sure would have embraced Nick as a friend. He makes me want to be a better person!!!!

That was incredible and very inspiring, sadly I believe he can dance better than I can, even though I don't have a handicap.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.
This pod brought tears to my eyes. Dancing is such an expression, such a blessing that people take for granted. I have never thought of a whole culture of people not being able to experience it.
Sidiki Conde is a remarkable man, not only does he give this amazing gift to people that need it, he is one hell of a dancer by anyones standards.
Also, thank you for not putting subtitles under the last woman who spoke. I really feel that if people have difficulty speaking, and they are giving it their greatest efforts, the least we can do is try and understand what it is like. The slight struggle we might have for 2 minuets is nothing when compared to their struggle. I think subtitling people that are perfectly well understood if you just listen is extremely disrespectful.
Amazing pod.

There is a guy that performs at the Warriors games, the break dancers. He is awesome, and he only has one leg.
