    • This was a pod that I was really interested in. Seeing what foreingers opinions are of the country is always compelling. It always gives me a different perspective on how societies are similar and different. There should be more video's like this.

    • Mimi makes a very insightful statement when she is discussing "advanced" countries. People don't always look very happy in those countries. That is actually quite sad, don't you think?

    • I used to tutor three Korean girls while in college and felt this cultural divide firsthand. Most of them seem to come from super wealthy families and seemingly sheltered upbringings.
      They pretty much kept to themselves and no matter how hard I tried to get them to socialize outside of their own Korean cliques they just never did.

      I find it really interesting when the subject in this video says: "sometimes I find it really hard to believe that England is a really advanced country"
      "people don't look like they're happy."
      The South Korean Miracle is a fairly recent phenomenon and her generation is among the first waves of Koreans to study abroad in droves.
