Oh no, why isn't this available? :( It sounds really interesting. This is something I've been wondering about lately too.

the biggest point here is that the girl who made this, after a conversation with two very talented film makers, realised the potential for a good film, stole the idea and made a crap film. There is no structure and no point being made. I've seen the first cut of the actual film and would suggest everyone leave their comments for the real 'Lesbian Beauty'.

It's a fantastic idea for a film, and a really fascinating question, but I don't feel like I really came close to discovering the answer by the end of this pod. Perhaps a more defined structure for questioning in the shooting stages would have helped? Or maybe some cunningly executed way of vox popping people anonymously (and making that work on-screen) would have been more effective as gay women admitting to sometimes being interested *just* in looks is notoriously difficult to capture...

Point taken, perhaps I was reactionary, situtations like this do frustrate me.
But I'm entitled to an opinion on the quality of each film, thats what these forums are for. And I think the original version is superior.

You're right, it's much better than this tripe. If you're going to rip off an idea you should at least try and better the original concept.
So, where can I see the full version of your mate's film?

Theifs! My friends made this film ages ago (2006) and it much better than yours!
You could have at least changed the title. Its exactly the same name and concept.

lulu1979:
Hey, Lulu I don't think this was at all intentional - I know Tat and she genuinely thought this was an interesting subject. No need to get nasty, either - perhaps asking the producer about whether they were aware of the other film might be more constructive, don't you think? There's being loyal and then there's just being mean to other people in a reactionary way...

It's more of a gender thing, women tend to look for a deeper connection with another human being whether she is a lesbian or not. I've seen many beautiful women with men who are generally not observed as attractive. Whereas, many men look a little more for physical attraction first and then see if the personality is a match. If you look at gay men, many look for physical attraction first and if it's not there, then he usually will move on to the next.
As far as labels go, they're useless and aggravating. No one wants to be put in a box. All the gay people I know are butch, femme, and androgynous, so there.

With most people, regardless of sexual orientation, physical attraction is usually the first attraction. It what makes you approach that girl from across the bar, or that guy in the book store, or where else. I don't think it's wrong or shallow to admit that visual stimulation is important, and everyone should embrace that and not be ashamed of it being a priority on their list.
