1)The UK Office of National Statistics reports that Muslim people in the UK have the highest birth rates. Pakistani's are also the largest Muslim population in the UK. There are over 160 million muslims in India. Before that, all Pakistanis were Indian but the Muslims wanted a to live in a seperate ISLAMIC state. My friend you need to calm down, you are putting words in my mouth, look at what I have written and tell me what is incorrect and I will amend accordinly. In Spain people have two children why do Pakistanis have 10 that they cannot afford to feed and then they move to the west.. illegally? Islam.
What is the religion of the Indians and when did they move? How many Indians and Chinese are arrested for Terrorism. Why do they not have record high unemployment figures? These are questions you need to ask yourself within your own time.Muslim immigrants have more children, more children more votes for Islam. I am not moaning I am providing facts, you must not just trying to silence the truth, let's have free open discussion. Muslim MP's in England openly state they dream of the day when the Prime Minister is Muslim and all MP's are Muslim. Over 40% of Muslims in the UK support sharia law and there are 85 sharia courts. Many Muslim Immigrants have come to the UK cause they know they will be entitled for the Free Housing and other benefits. The ONS reports that Muslim are more likely to be living in council accommodation than any other group. I have merely pointed out a fact, this is a free country and I will continue to do so, you should be proud of this, whereas in Pakistan the government tries to block media reporting. I will not be silenced by people like you who misinform people that Muslim immigrants are ALL lovely people and of great benefit to us. This is a lie, there are good and bad. Talking about the bad is what it seem like you trying to stop people from doing. If i'm wrong, less discuss it.
2) In my humble opinion, you have little idea how a country runs. If (and it's actually nearly 80%) of Muslim women don't work, who pays for their schooling, healthcare, child benefits, housing etc. You firstly claim Muslims come just to work, then when one points out that they don't atually work you say, they don't have to work??!*!
Are you a Christian hater or bigot? You found such a small peaceful Christian Amish community and use it in your misguided effort to support Islamification. Why pick on a small commnunity who have not bothered anyone? and why bring colour into this? You obviously have a problem with white people. Don't judge people by their colour. Btw, there are around 200k Amish in the US and over 1M Pakistanis in the UK.
3) You should read the news more often and this may dispel some of your racist, bigoted views. There have been several arrests of Pakistanis in Spain for links to terrorism. Let me guess, they are innocent? LOL The Pakistanis arrested across Europe & North America are ALL Pakistani's, yes some may have been granted citizenship and some were born there from immigrant Pakistani parents, that is not their only connection, you conveniently left out why they did it....ISLAM.
Now you move on to attack the Hindus, stop the hate! And you claim it is too complex to be explained LOL Funny that, when it's Pakistanis putting bombs in India. When Pakistani gunmen go round around airports and hotels shooting Jews and Hindus and trying not to kill Muslims, it all becomes to complex to explain. Of course, as i'm sure you will say, if a Muslim is killed by a non-Muslim, this is not complex to explain. LOL.
and now you move onto the JEWS! Wow! everyone seesm to have faults apart from the good old Pakistani Muslims, who, according to you, don't even have to work in their new countries if they don't want. You talk about a few incidents, you Pakistanis should stop worrying about the Arabs and start worrying about your own people. Pakistanis are equal to Arabs, you are not less people. Over 3000 people died in Pakistan alone in 2009, but you talk about about, " murder in Dubai" by the Jews, come on my friend.
4) I think you have some very hateful views. You claim that it's ok that Pakistanis kill Christians and Hindus as they are poor. There are over 160 million Muslims living there in India. There are less that 3 million Hindus in Pakistan. Why is Pakistan poor? Let me guess, it's the fault of everyone who isn't Muslim, yes? Stop being brainwashed, open your mind. How many Hindus are responsible for terrorism in Pakistan? Hummm... strange that. With 160million Muslims living amougst they should be easy targets. Instead they gave you a your own land called 'Pakistan'. Stop your hatred of Hindus, who are just trying to get on with their lives... you should do the same. Why do you Muslims say you are against terrorism then make excuse after excuse for it. Blaming anyone except the Muslims.
Isn't it amazing, the way you quote a comedian talking about the west, but not one talking about how the non-muslims are treated in Islamic countries. Why doesn't this cause you any concern? Are we not all equal? Why kill in the name of Islam? Are not Christians, Hindus and Jews equal to Muslims?

Dear teeprinter,
You have to be one of the most illadvised persons on the web. Let this be educational for you ok?
1. You say that the *problem* you have with Pakistani immigration is that they are muslim, hence they conceive more children. Where in the world did you read that being a muslim automatically means you have more offspring? Have you ever even checked which countries have the highest population? India and China are up there, the fact that most Indians are confused as Pakistanis due to their phenotypic features is not for me to help correct either. There are upto three five times more immigrants in Europe and North America (exclude Mexico) from China and India than Pakistan. Do I need to remind you that people in China and India are largely NON MUSLIMS? I really do not give a cupcake about what your government in England does for immigrants before its own citizens. Though, since you live in a democratic country and the ones who govern are elected by you, you have no right to moan about their policies. Immigrants do not run your country, the law makers are all British and your problems with housing for immigrants needs to be taken up with them. Don't take your frustrations out on immigrants benefiting from a system your *elected*, *free*, *democratic* government put in place. Help yourself and save others from spewing all this misinformation.2. You also have a problem with 70% muslim women not working. So what? Who gives you the right to decide which class of women need to work and which don't. I thought Britain was a free country? Arent you proud of that?Have you ever heard of the Amish people in America? I suggest you read up on them and their way of life. Again, the fact that they are white might make you think differently of them, now you see why integration doesn't always work? Again, these laws of inviting immigrants to your country and allowing them freedom to live their life according to their liking are created by people you have elected, so again, your problems are directed at the wrong direction.
3. Your third paragraph is full of b.s as well, no Pakistani has left Pakistan to plant bomb in Europe, especially the UK. All those people were BRITISH. Their ancestors may have come to England from Pakistan, but thats all the connection they have with Pakistan. You say Pakistanis have left bombs in Delhi etc. The Pakistan-India conflict is half a century old now, its very complex and difficult to grasp even for the most intelligent people, that rules you out entirely from even understanding the tip of the iceberg. India has planted enough bombs in Pakistan over the years, so don't even bother including Delhi in your list of peace loving places. Also, it makes me laugh to see you include Israel in the list of countries where Pakistanis have some how planted bombs? How about a citation? Forget it, you wont find one. Regardless, you would welcome Israelis with open arms despite all the heinous crimes they have conducted in Gaza, all the wars it has waged against its neighbors. Constantly occupying illegal land and building settlements. The assassinations and terrorist activities MOSAD has carried out in all parts of the world are WELL documented. Was it not recently that your country expelled a top Israeli diplomat for involvement in forging British passports to carry out a murder in Dubai? How does that make you feel? When Israels official spy agency uses your countrys cover to carry out murders around the world. I'll just end this paragraph by saying what you did, "are all israelis terrorists? no ofcourse not, thats stupid, but that doesnt make me wrong either".
4. You seem to be quite worried about Pakistanis not speaking out against the murders and kidnappings of Christians & Hindus in Pakistan. I can rest assure you, you have no idea what youre saying in this regard either. You may forget that Pakistan is a third world country, and problems such as these hound all third world countries. India has a rich and colourful history of how Hindu extremists have tortured and killed muslims for decades since 1947.
So all in all, if you have not realised what Im saying by now, let me sum it up for you. You don't really know what you are talking about. So please stop "acting" thoughtful. Please do not think this has anything to do with you not embracing immigration or embracing it, that is your choice, but calling you a "bigot" or a "racist" is absolutely correct, like most racists, you too have no idea or knowledge of where the real problem is. Why your countries laws on immigration are upsetting you and others like you, while the politicians are happy. Someone must be benefitting from it, right? I'll end by repeating what one of the most famous comedians of all time said once:
"Well. Tell you what. Now, to balance the scale, I'd like to talk about some things that bring us together, things that point out our similarities instead of our differences. 'Cause that's all you ever hear about in this country! It's our differences! That's all the media and the politicians are ever talking about! The things that separate us. Things that make us different from one another. That's the way the ruling class operates in any society. They try to divide the rest of the people. They keep the lower (immigrants in this case) and the middle classes fighting with each other so that they, the rich, can run off with all the f***ing money! Fairly simple thing! Happens to work! You know? Anything different! That's what they're gonna talk about race, religion, ethnic and national background, jobs, income, education, social status, sexuality, anything can do, keep us fighting with each other, so that they can keep going to the bank!"

Dear Texan, thank you for taking the time to respond in a thoughtful manner and not just calling me bigot or racist which is what usually happens in Europe if you don't embrace immigration. Firstly, let me point out i'm in favour of immigration, but controlled.
The problem with Pakistani immigration is that as they are a muslim population they have higher birth rates, this IS their choice and THEIR choice is what is driving their poverty. People in the west who are poor often have fewer children, this is their choice to help improve their lifestyle. In England, the government gives houses to those it believes needs them more and fair enough, but is it fair that muslim families who have just arrived in the country are being given them ahead of poor non-muslim families cause they have larger families? (see Office of National Statistics)
None of my comments can of course be applied to every pakistani family, that's obvious. I just believe if you move to a country you adapt, this hasn't happened in the majority of cases, the video highlights it that the vast majority of pakistani's live in one area, this is not integration. Most of the pakistani women only stay at home and do not work. 70 percent of the muslim women in the UK do not work. Does this apply to ALL muslim women, no cause 30% do, but does this mean there is not an unemployment problem within their communities? and I shouldn't mention it?
In my humble opinion though, it is for me PC to be delighted about a culture or people, that has since it's existence NEVER been a peaceful country. When people leave Pakistan to plant bombs in Madrid, England, Scotland, Israel, Delhi... whilst terrorist arrests have been made in nearly EVERY western country which has a Pakistani community. Are all pakistanis terrorists? no of course not, that is stupid, but that doesn't make me wrong either.
Please note, none of my comments have been directed at any other culture or race, I can only tell you the experience of living in Europe.
You may want to read all the things banned in the UK and people who have gone into hiding who dared to speak out against this. When do the Pakistanis speak out against the murdering and kidnapping of Hindus and Christians living in Pakistan?

I'm not denigrating anyone, this is a FACT not an opinion, Pakistan was created for this reason!!
Muslims families have more children per family then any other faith group - FACT, not an opinion
I noticed that you have not actually stated factually which of my statements are true or not. Of course, is everything I have written about Pakistani apply to EVERY Pakistani, of course not, that's stupid, but does does it apply to majority? Facts say so.
It is PCness like yours which hides the truth and believes that the majority is always wrong and the minority always right.

I don't really wish to refute your words. I guess being from different perspectives, the way we view the situation will be dynamically different.
I don't want to argue or say that you're wrong, mainly because between the two of us, you probably know more according where you are and your perspective.
I just wish that you don't use the frustration of a massively competitive new population in Barcelona to attack an entire population. It may be true that their new presence causes massive issues for a lot of people, and maybe even understandably so, but it is not the transgression of all Pakistani people that people are in more difficult situations due to a rise in Pakistani people in Barcelona.
I don't want to argue, and I guess it can seem that I'm PC. I really don't care whether or not that's how it seems, but all I know is that situations are different for everyone and both you and I are going to view this situation differently. I think that my objective and disassociated view perhaps doesn't give me as much insight as you might have, but it's more important to respect both sides of the this discussion as legitimate opinions than rather declaring one PC and therefore irrelevant.

these are all political correct stories and spiced up to make things more dramatic.
i live in spain, i moved there for a "spanish" way of life. I embrassed spanish life and spanish people hence embrassed me.
Firstly, lets establish why pakistan was created. It was created because the muslims wanted an Islamic country and to be governed under Sharia law. They did not want to live with the Hindu's who claimed independence from Britain by non-violent means.
from 500,000 to 1 million people died during to create Pakistan.Inspite of this India is still regulary attacked by Islamic extremists. Only 4 days they bombed delhi killing 20 people. India has most most millionaires in South Asia and some of the most expensive land prices in the world. Pakistan is officially one the cheapest places to live in the world! One country embracesses democracy the other sharia law.
The guy talks about having 4 brothers and 3 sisters to support. Who's fault is this?? Muslims have large families to help the spread of Islam!! Spain has less than 2 children per family on average.
Job?! Pakistanis are the biggest muslim group in the UK and have the HIGHEST levels of unemployment. They are also most likely to be living in government accomodation and claiming ill-health. At the SAME TIME they have the HIGHEST NUMBER OF CHILDREN!! This is from BRITISH BORN pakistanis as well! About seven in ten (69 per cent!) of Muslim women of working age were economically inactive, cause they breed.
Spain is regularly arresting Pakistani for links to terrorism. As you mention nearly ALL the migrants are men and any women that they bring are not even permitted to talk to men, they are forced to cover up and stick out like a saw thumb and hence never learn Spanish.
People make out it is a good thing they are open nearly 24hours. This has in fact put out of business local Spanish people who cannot not work these hours as they do not have 5 brothers they can share the work with!
This video is nothing but polictical correctness. Why don't you make a trip to Pakistan and see for yourself!

The initial creation of nation can't be used as justification for denigrating people. Political Correctness isn't the sin you seem to proclaim it is. It happens to be a look at a situation through the eyes of the men and women immigrating to Barcelona. For you to make a blanket judgment about and an entire lifestyle and even characterize a group as leeches who only have children to spread a religion makes you the ignorant one, refusing to acknowledge the myriad of differences between each individual's background, goals, incentives, and actions.
Even if you do live in Spain, it doesn't give you the position to insult an entire people.

Hi grace
It's Margaret Wilson here. Just watched your video on the Pakistanis in Spain. chris and yvonne told me about it. It was great. You're a natural presenter but i was a bit distracted because you look so much like your mom! because I teach English as an additional language at a tertiary institution here in NZ I meet people in similar situations all the time (not quite so bad because they are at least studying and, if they're here, they tend to have their papers). But they're still people struggling to make their way in the world and it's great that people like you are giving a few of them a voice. Keep it up! Margaret - 4 years ago

I remember seeing the men selling beer along La Rambla when I traveled to Barcelona last year. This is great because breaks through the misconceptions about the motives and backgrounds of these people and shows the risks they have to take to support their families back in Pakistan. It's a thought-provoking look into the illegal immigration issues outside of the United States. I also liked Grace's style when it comes to narrating throughout the pod and offering explanation when necessary.

Good report! I lived for several years in Barna & saw how the pakistani population really exploded around 2001. It is a very interesting diaspora. You should do a piece on the butaneros. It would be difficult to get them to talk but if you establish a friendship w/ one it could be very interesting. Before the paskistani demographic explosion the butaneros where mostly andalucian immigrants but now they are almost exclusively pakis in barcelona, at least in the casc antic, thanks to the repsol mafia & a cheaper labor force due to illegal resident status.
