I've been to this store in SoHo. It is very unique. I wish I could have saved more money to buy some coats and hoodies there. They have the best clothes. We need this in Philly and Jersey.

I love absolutely love the idea of this place. I've never been in a store, however the fact that you can purchase quality items without a brand name plastered on it intrigues me.

For some reason, this reminds me of American Apparel in a way.

that was all kinds of interesting and i was even excited that somebody was doing something progressive like simplifying products and wasting less. then there it was 42.00 dollars for a cardboard speaker. why that equates to 2 whole stereos at walmart and i hate walmart. but cmon.

I love the concept of simple stylish utilitarian things not tied to a brand. Dispite their attempts to be not a brand Muji is still a brand just not a transperantly present one, i don't see it as specifically special or good just interesting and diffrent.
I hope it comes to LA Soon.

THAT'S what Muji is! I've been walking around the city with all these people carrying Mujij bags and I never knew what it was!
I have to agree that the cardboard speakers are an innovative idea, but the durability to me is a little questionable--I wish we would have been able to see the speakers in actual use.
Also, I know that we do need a relief from all the advertising we get, but the really clean plain style of the Muji store would be something to get used to, especially after going into such a vibrant store such as Target. But in any case, I got to go check it out!

“I agree with your post about Muji: The new non-brand”. The non-brand is very sleek looking and the prices are very low. I think we need more stores like this also! Who cares about the name on the glass bowl you have sitting on your kitchen table, it has the same equality! Now days its about the low prices with the look!

Live in Canada! But I fly to Hong Kong every year to visit some relatives. I've bought something there so many times! There items are strong, usable, clean, simple, sexy, and cheap! Muji is the non computer Apple.
