It's so hard to watch people in such horrible living conditions...especially when you are watching from the comfort of your own home...My heart breaks and I want to help...I feel that in life there are some things that every human cannot live without...Food and water in their stomach's, somewhere to rest their head, and love..knowing there is someone that is walking through life with them and they are not alone...

It's horrible to see how so many countries have been affected in this way.

Historically speaking, this is Moroccan land 100%. Spain took it from Morocco in early 20 century. If you ask the actual people who live in the Sahara, they'll be more likely on the Moroccans side. People who ended up in refugee camps are the ones who fought in the war backed by a few Algerian generals and Spanish Gov. Refugees are welcome to come back to Morocco as willz said. Many of them did...
I think this conflict is created by a very few politician elites. Mostly in Algeria. The people are ONE. - 3 years ago

I wonder at "what price" the Moroccan government offered assistance. It must have been too high to accept. Please dig a little deeper. What was the "price offer" that led them not to accept.
Some people do have integrity and will not accept assistance for fear of loosing their own soul.
No matter this is a tune that we have to change.
Just discussion shifts the balance.
These are issues of humanity that must be addressed.
For one thing these people will probably have a better chance of surviving "Global Warming".
So what do they know about surviving in such a harsh climate?
What can we exchange for that knowledge that may mean survival all in the near future.

You can help by supporting the Sahara Marathon Project (http://www.saharamarathon.org/) and by raising general awareness about what is happening to the Saharawi people. It is amazing how few people have even hear about this situation.
