This is not a new dance craze. This is just a copy cat of the days of break dancing. Granted there is less movement compared to break dancing but it is all the same movements. Even some where the clothes we all did back in the '80s & styled their hair the same. Welcome to the '80s people!! It's a rerun!!!!

sorry blueyez but i have to disagree...
this style isn't breakin all over again...it does have some similarities to popping, but there are no bboy moves at all. no floor work or anything. usually for somethin to evolve it takes from parts of other things and changes it and moves it forward...i see alot of other things, lil bits of popping, small locking bits, some tutting, lots of house and lots of krump(alot of the arm movements are reminiscent of gettin krump), but not really any breakin. it seems like a new thing and im happy to see something fresh...believe me, i've seen lots of recycled dances, and it gets old. to me this looks fresh and new. as a professional dancer/choreographer, i appreciate new artistic expressions in dance.

usually techno and dancing is closely tied to taking synthetic drugs. if everyone gets together to have fun (without drugs) it is a good thing, a revolution

i love dance and the evolution of dance is always great and exciting...just like breakdancing came out and broke the mold and became something new and fresh and a few years ago i was apart of the huge Krump movement, now Tecktonik...i love it, i hope it gets popular in America. im a krumper, but i will be takin some tecktonik moves to the next krump session!

I live in a mid-size city in France and about 6 months ago Tektonic was all over the news. I immediately started noticing adolescents with the Tekto haircuts and clothes, practicing dance moves while waiting for the bus, during breaks, at the mall.... did TV spread it or was it the night clubs?
