Watch for 18yr old Lance Coury at the X games in the near future. He's the youngest rider doing the backflip at the OP Pro.

I love watching the crazy boys do backflips on their bikes! And I would never ever do it myself! There's not even snow or water to break their inevitable falls. Of course, they're crazy....but they must love what they're doing. It just takes continued craziness... He will land it.

Nice post. I did independent study in High School and raced motocross in the amateur ranks. People see Motocross racing, which is different from Freestyle Motocross, as simply an extreme sport, but it has been proven that it rivals soccer for the most physically demanding sport. Freestyle Motocross isn't that much different. To be at the top of their game, these people have to have the flexibility of a gymnast, the strength of and toughness of boxer, and the mental ability to risk their lives everyday. I was never into doing tricks, just racing, but I can honestly say that I have never felt more alive in my entire life than when I was flying through the air and pushing the limits of just how fast a dirtbike could go.

no doubt. funny you make the soccer comparison as that was my sport which I played professionally. I have enormous respect for these gents, and motocross in general, after working on this project.
Racing and jumping both, crazy skill and guts in one athletic package.
