Lou Teicher, one half of the piano duo Ferrante and Teicher, famous for their renditions of popular Hollywood movie themes, has died. He was 83.

Teicher and Art Ferrante were first dubbed "The Movie Theme Team" in 1961, and were highly acclaimed for their rapid-fire twin-piano performances.

Together they performed theatrical recordings of themes from such movies as "Midnight Cowboy" "Exodus" and "Tonight" from "West Side Story."
