    • It is interesting because we see the natural forces of family order at work. A young man continues to intuitively seek the formative mentorship or guidance of a Father. Yet gay life and marriage advocates do not want to see that every baby and child will need the presence of a Mother and a Father for their truest and healthiest development. If this kid had been a little unsure of himself and asked the uncle about how he should handle a come-on by one of the uncles friends: Would the uncle's answer have been something ambiguous along the lines of: "If it makes you happy..." or "if you are curious, try it and see how you feel about it"! or would the uncle have been insightful and protective enough of the nephews integrity seeing that his brother's son is far from seeking homosexuality, to steer him well away from any gay slip-up or influence and encouraging the boy to meet girls in LA and being cool about bringing dates to the house? Why do YOU think the guy went back home and wants to come back to live independently?

    • You guys are all so optimistic! It's going to take more to start out a life in LA than living with relatives and finding a minimum wage job. I would never burden myself on a relative like he did.

The homeless sure do love California.

    • Great haircut. Good for him for taking initiative to get himself out of a rut back home. Most people would have been to scared to pick up and leave to try and start something new. It makes me a little nervous that he moved back home though; he should've stayed in LA and started to make connections and network with people around him so he could really make something of himself in LA. Unfortunately, many times its not what you know but who you know that helps you reach your goals.

    • Best of luck to him. I hope things goes the way he wants. He shouldn't have moved back. He should've stayed with his uncle, make money, and then find his own place.

    • I agree that he should not have moved back, however I also believe he should have stayed as far away from A&F as possible. God knows they do not pay well at all.

    • Great story! It does leave you wondering, though, if Mike went home because he was homesick. Mike's Uncle and room mate showed beautiful support and compassion. Much appreciation to them for their efforts!

    • His uncle is so good to him and his makeover looked great! Although why wouldn't he live in LA while he tried to save up money?

    • Lucky dude, I wouldn't have moved back after 3 months though. He could have started a better life there, But he only went through with it to prove himself to his Father obviously.

    • WOW! Great story up until the end where we find out he moved back to North Carolina only 3 months later, and even MORE strange that he went there to save money to move back to L.A.! Hmmmm...
What happened? He scored the killer job (after a fabulous, tv worthy makeover!) and was living with 2 very kind and loving people. Sounds to me like there's a relevant chunk missing from this story! Like the part in between Mike getting offered a job at Abercrombie and Mike going back home! Otherwise it just kind of falls on its face at the end.

I thought for sure this was gong to end with him being "discovered" at work by some Hollywood exec.! The makeover revealed a little hottie, I'm sure Abercrombie "saw it" too...

I'm just disappointed at the bottom dropping out with no apparent explanation in the end. What was the point of making the movie, much less of me watching it?
