China White Lightning

raskin
A look at the incredibly popular, horribly tasting rice wine known as "Baiju." In this pod Zack Mexico takes a tour of a baiju factory and then head for a night out with locals, all in an effort to find a compelling answer to the question "Why do you drink this stuff?"

    • Can you buy this in America? must be worse than what we call "grain alcohol". btw, be kind to your liver and your brain and go easy on that stuff!!! Entertaining and fun to watch. At age 60 I would have tried ONE shot for fun:)

    • yo, me and the homie were on a train from Beijing to Shanghai when we were first challenged to drink a shot of the "White Ghost," as they called it.

we sat at a table on a rumbling train surrounded by 4 Chinese men, some in dilapidated army garb, and chugged a several shots of the ghost. it taste like shit but the Chinese bretheren broke into a round of cheer each and every time this homie from east la did my thing.

      God Bless China!
