India's Economic Divide

pamelanull
A new superhighway is being built through the Indian countryside to the state capital city of Chennai. For the fast track westernised IT crowd of affluent young Indians, this is development but for billions living in slums along the new roadside the poor/rich divide is getting wider. We follow a day in the life of 2 young Indian women who personify this divide.

    • This is a real fluff piece. It doesn't take much research to find this in any country or in any town...anywhere. There will always be an "economic divide".

I really feel sorry for India, though, since there new economy relies on America so much. You better start trying to use it to your advantage and start creating a new market that doesn't have so many ties to the US. For example, America's economy goes bad..so does India's. Also, as your prices go up for outsourcing, which they inevitably will, the US will be going elsewhere for their work.

So, good luck India. I hope your recent fortune will indeed help than hinder your nation.
