Proud to say I worked with Zouheir numerous times in Gaza and brought him into Current where we're one of the only networks worldwide to be getting inside access like this. Forget the politics, this is shedding light on unseen aspects of life in Gaza as is - no manipulation nor slant by Zouheir. I know him well and although he's led an incredibly tough life in Gaza, has always remained objective surrounding sensitive activities that militants carry out there.
Once again, Current's prowess trumps major news outlets to the story with inside access.

Any media that chooses to shape the news based on their monetary needs is a curse of the free press in a Capitalistic society. There needs to be a revolution against those who would sell what amounts to innocent lives to make the almighty advertising dollar. Flee from these prostitutes as from the plague. At least the plague would be a comparatively quick death compared to having your self-determinacy taken from you an opinion at a time in a "so called" free society.

I have no "pony" in this race, no a direct stake in the outcome, and lack any real information other than what is reported by the media in this sad unfolding tale.

I don't have a belief to espouse, nor endorse a side in the conflict; all that I can offer is empathy to those that have to bury their families and friends.

What if the combatants had broken bread together earlier in the day? Would the finger on the gun trigger in the attack helicoptors or the hand lighting the fuse of a home-built toy rocket would take the step to unleash more death upon their neighbours?

Just wondering...

I'm not particularly religious but rather suspect that you are, farmerBoi. You may wish to read your bible. Should you take the time to do so, you'll perhaps realize that the region of interest has long been a historical flashpoint. You may, also, perhaps gain perspective from history. Less than 100 years ago, a great global conflict caused misery in every corner of the globe. The catalyst? A pissing contest between completely irrelevant members of the European "nobility". Minor Dukes sparked world-war.

It doesn't take much to start a major war.

I hope learn from past mistakes. The lack of any apparent education or tolerance such as this farmer boy scares the shit out of me.

It's truly sad that there are so many people that have no desire to evolve. The past is past. It is, also, such a valuable teaching tool.
